When the media brought the benefits of Omega 3 fish oil to the public’s attention there was a clamour for this type of supplement as people flocked to buy the product in the hope of achieving the same results. Sadly, the majority were left disappointed but why was this the case?
When the newspapers ran their fish oil tests they were using a far superior grade of supplement than you can buy on the high street and they were maximising the potential of the product’s key ingredient. This meant that when everyday consumers called in on their local chemist or health food store they were purchasing weaker supplements that weren’t really up to the job.
That key component is something called eicosapentaenoic acid, an essential fatty acid that is a vital nutrient when it comes to attaining all the positive results from Omega 3 fish oil.
